Update 1.0.7 for Highway Police Simulator

We are proud and excited to release update 1.0.7 for Highway Police Simulator today, featuring more than 80 improvements to the game.

With today’s update, available on all platforms, we are addressing the most important issues in the game, including traffic jams on the highway, dialogues and subtitles, and the overall performance of the game, especially in the police station. You can find all further details in the changelog at the end of this post.

We know that our fans and players have been waiting for this update since April, and we thank you for your patience. At the same time, we want to send out the following message: Highway Police Simulator is anything but dead. Our team continues to work on the game, on improvements, and on new content.

In addition to thanking our fans and players, we also want to say: Sorry it took so long. Many of you know that we are a small German gaming studio and therefore our resources and possibilities are limited. So sorry and thank you for your patience!

  • Accidents: Fixed dialogue aborting when player asks about lost cargo
  • Accidents: Improved photo icons movement in photomode
  • Added: The rooms in the basement of the police station were marked with signs for better player navigation
  • Added: Footstep sound for slow walking
  • Added: Ability to call helicopter back to Police Station. To do this use container building near helipad at Police Station
  • Added: Implemented aim assist for controller
  • Added: Articles about some of the player actions to “Player menu”
  • Added: Out of ammo sounds were added for Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol and Taser

  • Dialogue: Fixed a bug that prevented the camera from showing an NPC during dialogue
  • Drone: Fixed issue with spawning a drone while vehicle is broken
  • Drone: Added effects when the drone is taking damage
  • Drone: Improved behaviour when colliding with characters
  • Environment: Reduced computational impact of animated trees in Apoloya region
  • Added: Enemy’s shoot sounds get quieter when player shoots their weapon
  • Fixed: Enabled gangsters to carry their weapon on their back
  • Fixed: Dispatch will no longer offer a new mission when other procedural mission selected
  • Fixed: A bug that caused a texture to be displayed incorrectly
  • Fixed: A bug that sometimes showed broken/white pixels during dialogue cutscenes on the PS5
  • Fixed: An issue where audio from NPC vehicles would play without any vehicle being present
  • Fixed: An issue where killing an enemy while being undetected would not count towards the mission objective
  • Fixed: An issue where left over car debris on the road could block NPC vehicles and cause traffic jams
  • Fixed: Camera switching to Nat if player pressed “F” during helicopter landing after requesting it

  • Fixed: Some voice lines end earlier then they should
  • Fixed: Police Database saves court rulings between save/loads
  • Fixed: Statistic wouldn’t count if player deleted save and created a new one in same slot
  • Fixed: NPCs and the main character will not twitch anymore when they collide with the drone
  • Fixed: Weapons of defeated gangsters had collision
  • Fixed: The requirements for unlocking vehicles are now limited to the required value
  • Fixed: Fixed a bug on Police PC that sometimes showed an incorrect list of items in the left column for “Vehicles” and “Court” when cycling through items in the subjects column
  • Improved: Performance of character handling to prevent memory issues
  • Improved: Intensity of the flashlight on the players shoulder to not interfere with gameplay

  • Mission “Smiley”: Maira’s dialog wouldn’t repeat after reloading checkpoint if player already spoke to her

  • Mission “The plan”: Ramesh is now correctly positioned in the office during the dialogue with Chief
  • Mission “Ambush on the Delivery”: Fixed a bug that allowed players to kill NPCs prematurely which resulted in progress being blocked
  • Mission “Ambush on the delivery”: Dispatch would call you with new misions while timer is up
  • Mission “Ambush on the delivery”: Fixed timer continue to countdown after reaching the location
  • Mission “Ambush on the delivery”: Moved the position of the sneaking objective to a better spot
  • Mission “Catching the dragon”: fixed positioning of sitting NPC in cave
  • Mission “It’s getting personal”: Fixed the navigation to show the correct route after the arrest
  • Mission “Manhunt”: Fixed issue with missing search zone on a map
  • Mission “The distraught farmer”: Improved the mission flow
  • Mission “Aftermath”: The bush that could be seen sticking out of the race track has been removed
  • Mission “Catching the dragon”: Fixed a bug which caused issues with weapon restrictions when the player got detected by the guard during “return to your car” objective
  • Mission “Traffic Stop”: Mission fails now if player died during shootout
  • Mission “Traffic Stop”: Changed title for starting Traffic Stop mission to make it more clear
  • NPC: fixed a rare crash which could occur, while generating a random character appearance
  • Progression: Fixed an issue causing the XP for discovered points of interest to be awarded again each time the game was loaded
  • Radial menu: Fixed long names extending over button borders
  • Shootouts: Nataly will be auto-revived now if the player dies during shooting while she is already dead
  • Shootouts: Weapons are now always visible on enemies
  • Shootouts: Car now has to be parked first at a specific location
  • Shootouts: Added markers above attacking enemies
  • Shootouts: Fixed issue with enemies mindlessly shooting/reloading in a loop
  • Tech Tree: Fixed an issue for weapons which caused initial amount of bullets in magazine to be incorrect
  • Vehicles: Camera settings were changed for better view, the camera clipping into objects has been fixed
  • Vehicles: Obstacle detection of the AI was improved, traffic AI will now continue moving when nearby obstacles do not actually block their path
  • Vehicles: Improved the spawning behavior of debris for damaged vehicles
  • Vehicles: Optimize vehicle flow at freeway T-Junction to reduce traffic jams
  • Weapons: Implemented a way for the weapons to keep their current amount of ammo when switching between different ones
  • Weapons: Effective hit range is now infinite, but dealt damage is reducing over distance
  • Weapons: Improved recoil
  • Weapons: Improved camera behaviour when moving
  • Weapons: Added distinct crosshair types
  • Weapons: Crosshair is now visible only when aiming
  • Weapons: Removed the “eye” crosshair type
  • Weapons: On PC, selected weapon can now be changed with number key hotkeys
