In the last few days and weeks, things have unfortunately become a little quieter from our side around Highway Police Simulator.
That’s why Andreas, our boss, has decided to say a few words to the community, which we don’t want to withhold from you here in the blog.
Here is what he has to say:
“I’m sorry that the Discord has become quieter over the last few days. There are a few reasons for this. I hope you will understand and accept the reasons.
But before I talk about the reasons, I would like to say:
We have not given up! And there will be more patches and updates for HWPS.But it will take some time!
Here are the reasons why:
we are a small studio with a team of people who need to be paid. So we have to realize other projects as well. And that’s one reason why we can’t work full time on updates and patches with a full team.In addition to positive feedback, we have seen that the improvements and changes we have made have been poorly received. Of course that makes us sad.
It’s sad, but it led us to dive deeper into why this was happening. And we found out some things that are very complex and difficult to fix. That’s where the right team members need to invest time and that’s what they did. And of course we hope it works better this time. It’s summer and many team members have been working too hard to fix bugs and they deserve some vacation.
I hope you understand that.
The next update is definitely coming and is already planned. We have already improved some things and fixed some bugs, but we want to deliver final solutions for laggs.
As I wrote in the comment to the last blog post, we are still thinking about making a public beta branch on Steam. I hope we will have news on that in two weeks.
I hope I was able to give you some more insights into the development. If you have any questions, please ask.”
We hope you understand our situation and stay by our side as a community. The game is not dead. There will be more updates. The story of Caminora is not over yet. We have plans for the future.
We will be much more active in the socials and forums in the next few days. Feedback, criticism and even grumbling are not only allowed, but welcome. Let’s please observe the rules of decency and good manners together.
Write to us in the forums, on the socials, on our Discord and in Steam. We have an open ear and you will hear from us!
